Today's message was a continuation of a serious on our church's name, "Pilgrim Christian Fellowship" and why it was chosen.

Pilgrim, who are you? What is our identity as a people? Does being a part of "Pilgrim" make us pilgrims?

The text was 1 Peter 2.

Our Amish Mennonite heritage, the American culture, and general Christianity are major influences in our lives, but who we are trumps environment. As Christians with the nature of Christ, we can overcome anything. Verses 9 & 10 show us the nature of those that are born again. It is the work of God, possible only through the blood of Christ, for all of us. John 3:16 shows us who we are. This is a present reality and our mission flows out of our identity.

1. Remember your identity.
2. Repent of wrong attitudes.
3. Desire the Word of God.
4. Continually align your life with Jesus Christ.
5. Turn away from all wrong desires.
6. Live lives of integrity in front of everybody.
7. Maintain proper respect toward those in authority.
8. Honor the people around you.
9. Relate properly to your employer.

All of these are about living for Him who has called us out of darkness into His marvelous light. It comes down to our practical everyday life. This is how we proclaim God's praises.
