Twelve reasons to believe in a six day creation and a young earth:
1. We do not believe in a six day creation and a young earth because of fundamentalism and evangelical influence.
2. We believe in a six day creation and a young earth primarily because of our spiritual herit-age.
3. We believe in a six day creation and a young earth because this is the plain sense of Scrip-ture. (Gen. 1-3, Ex. 20: 9-11, Ps. 33:6, Mk. 13:19 Heb. 11:3)
4. We believe in a six day creation and a young earth because we have faith in a living God and His Word. (Heb. 11:3)
5. We believe in a six day creation and a young earth because we believe in a God of miracles.
6. We believe in a supernatural six day creation in the past because it is consistent with the supernatural New Creation in the future. (II Peter 3)
7. We believe in a six day creation and a young earth because it brings dignity and worth to humans. (Gen. 1:27)
8. We believe in six day creation and a young earth because it gives us a moral framework to live by.
9. We believe in a six day creation because it gives us an explanation for the beauty and order in the world.
10. We believe in a six day creation because it makes sense theologically.
11. We believe in a six day creation because it gives us a context for a global cataclysmic flood. (Gen. 6)
12. We believe in a six day creation and young earth because it is good science.
Hebrews 11:3 Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear. Truly, the world and everything in it were made for His glory.
