The theme verse was taken from Deuteronomy 4:9. Only take heed to thyself and keep thy soul diligently lest thou
forget the things which thine eyes have seen and lest they depart from thy heart all the days of thy life, but teach
them to thy sons and to thy sons’ sons.
We are a blessed people today to have the Word of God with us to read it and hold it. The Word of God gives us
something to praise Him about and also spread the Word of God to others.
God has made provisions for us—have we responded to Him? The Scriptures is truth-- we can believe them and
claim them—God’s promises cannot be broken. The children of Israel were not always faithful to Him, but God never
gave up on them and called them back.
The Christian life is a battleground, but we can be faithful—God will not fail us. We have been taught the way of
salvation. Do we have a hunger for the Word of God? How faithful are we in living the Christian life? We need to be
sincere in our commitment to God. The Word of God in the heart needs to penetrate deeply, and just like a flower, it
will bloom if it is well-watered—we will walk and flourish in the truth of God’s Word. Let us pass on the Torch of
Faith to God’s children.
